More control capabilities of equipment
In many cases equipment can have only one connection, for example, Global Caché, Marantz, Beckhoff. If you want to control this equipment from more than one panel, a server is required. A server connects to equipment and allows any number of panels to control this equipment.
Gateway between different systems
It’s common practice to use equipment working via different protocols in large automation projects, for example KNX to control light, blinds, shutters, climate, Modbus in engineer systems (pumps, boilers), IP-protocol to control AV equipment.
Thanks to iRidi, there is no need to use different gateways from KNX to other systems. iRidi functions as a universal gateway and a single controller for all systems.
iRidi Server works 24/7 and provides remote control of an automation object. A server and a panel interact via our own protected protocol.
Physical interfaces and other protocols
iRidi Server UMC has a module structure. It can include KNX, RS 485 (Modbus, HDL), 1Wire, Z-wave. It allows to save on purchasing different gateways and makes integration of different automation systems easier.
Support of most protocols
Our installers love iRidi for supporting numerous protocols. Support of protocols in iRidi includes not only support on the driver level, but also the scanning function, import of settings and other features that make setting easier.
If a system is not yet supported by us, our installers use iRidi driver Development Kit and realize support of required systems themselves.

Hardware and software realization
Our server has both hardware (iRidi UMC, RPi, NUC) and software (software agent for Windows) realizations. The software can be downloaded from our web-site and can be used in large-scale objects and in a showroom.
Conversion of an automation object into a part of global IoT structure
iRidium server allows to set intellectual data exchange from KNX to Modbus, Crestron, etc., to MQTT and send them to cloud services and IoT platforms. Thus, you can integrate different objects in a single global system.
